Soroptimist International of Gold Canyon through Footprints Matter to Us organized 168 volunteers to accomplish this huge endeavor. 45 tons of trash and debris were collected throughout 3,000 acres of State Trust Land adjacent to Peralta Trails. 

SIGC organized this effort by pre-identifying and mapping trash locations using GPS coordinates. On the day 
of the event, mobile teams successfully removed this incredible amount of trash, including approximately 300 tires Community members, organizations and business from through-out the Gold Canyon area showed up at 
daybreak to make this feel-good project happen.
